Steve Bales, DVM
Dr. Bales is a 1991 graduate of Purdue University School of Veterinary Medicine. He is married to his wife Jodie. They have three children, Brent and his wife Haley, Kristen, her husband Evan and son Brooks, and Lauren. Dr. Bales enjoys spending time with family, traveling with friends, and attending livestock shows and sporting events. He has been a member of the Wells County Health Board for over 25 years!
Dr. Bales’ special interests include swine production and business management. He particularly enjoys mentoring new veterinarians develop their special interests.

Tony Lahr, DVM
Dr. Lahr is a 2003 graduate of Purdue University School of Veterinary Medicine. He is married to his wife Nicole and they have three children, two daughters, Katelyn and Ella, and a son, Drew. Dr. Lahr also has two dogs named Spanky and Jack. He enjoys sports, outdoor activities, gardening, as well as raising and exhibiting poultry.
Dr. Lahr's special interests include large animal reproductive ultrasound, as well as mixed animal medicine and surgery.
Cody Anspach, DVM
Dr. Anspach is a 2016 graduate of Purdue University School of Veterinary Medicine. Dr. Anspach is married to his wife Kala and they have twins, Josiah and Rhetta. In Dr. Anspach’s spare time he enjoys hunting, fishing, and woodworking. In his last year at Purdue, Dr. Anspach received the Proficiency in Theriogenology award and the Excellence in Bovine Medicine and Surgery award.
Dr. Anspach’s special interests include population medicine, diabetes management and reproduction work.

Acacia Suhrer, DVM
Dr. Acacia Suhrer is a 2018 graduate of Purdue University School of Veterinary Medicine. She is married to her husband Jim, and they have a son named Atlas. Dr. Suhrer enjoys being outside, gardening, traveling, and spending time with family. In her last year at Purdue, Dr. Suhrer received the Proficiency Award in Large Animal Medicine.
Dr. Suhrer’s special interests include small ruminant medicine and reproduction, emergency care, and large/small animal surgery.

Jamie McDowell, DVM
Dr. McDowell is a 2015 graduate of Ross University School of Veterinary Medicine and joined the team in 2018. She is married to her husband, Jeremy, and has a daughter named Kynlee. Dr. McDowell has a dog named Jolene and a cat named Hank. She enjoys spending time at the lake with her family.
Dr. McDowell’s special interests include internal medicine and diagnostic ultrasound.

Brent Bales, DVM
Dr. Bales is a 2021 graduate of Purdue University College of Veterinary Medicine. Dr. Bales is married to his wife Haley, and they have two cats, Marlo and Maui, as well as one dog named Mayze. Dr. Bales enjoys spending time with his friends and family, doing outdoor activities, and being a major sports enthusiast!
Dr. Bales’ special interest is small animal surgery including soft tissue and orthopedic procedures.

Rachel Riley, DVM
Dr. Riley is a 2019 graduate of Purdue University School of Veterinary Medicine and joined the team in 2022. She is married to her husband Jordan, and they have one dog named Bo. Dr. Riley enjoys gardening, spending time with her family, traveling and watching Netflix. Dr. Riley was an IVMA Power of 10 Participant in 2022-2023.
Dr. Riley's special interests include small animal medicine and diagnostic ultrasound.

Erika Miller, DVM
Dr. Miller is a 2023 graduate of Purdue University School of Veterinary Medicine. She is married to her wonderful husband, Andrew. They have a sweet golden retriever named Callie. Dr. Miller enjoys cooking, gardening, hiking and spending time with her family and dog. You can always find her either doing farm chores, baking a fresh loaf of bread, or just relaxing on the porch swing.
Dr. Millers' special interests include small ruminant medicine and theriogenology.
